1OneRoot was born from a conversation about empowerment and environmental sustainability. What began as a shared frustration with climate inaction became a unifying vision: Could one person, with one tree, help restore balance to our planet?
Our Founders message
We didn’t start with millions of dollars. We started with a question: What if every person on earth could plant just one tree?
We launched 1OneRoot not just about planting trees, but about planting hope. In our daily lives, we’ve seen firsthand how the climate crisis impacts lives differently, but we’ve also seen how small actions, when multiplied by many, can transform communities.
That’s why we committed our own resources to help seed this movement. As funders, we are also learners and builders. We believe in shared leadership, the power of young people and the communities to grow something that lasts longer than we do. Every dollar donated helps us plant smarter, educate deeper, and grow stronger.
